Community Project Epanomi
Tucked away in beach town Epanomi, Epanomi Shelter houses around 250 refugees seeking alyssum in Greece or awaiting relocation or reunification. Because Epanomi Shelter only houses families, children are a huge part of the population. We've been supporting IHA and Caritas Hellas, the organisations in charge of the site, with their goal to enable residents to pursue their interests, develop skills and express their creativity. We hope to have made their time in Epanomi more meaningful and less burdensome. We've been teaching music to around 100 children and today we had to say goodbye. Next week we'll start in a new location.
